Alchemy Artistic Mission

To successfully implement our vision into our four main programs, Alchemy Artistic abides by a series of mission commitments: Salt (body), Sulfur (soul) and Mercury (spirit) to enhance their work and community.

“Theatre that speaks. Theatre that listens.” These six words inform our three company commitments.

Our Salt Commitment: Alchemy Artistic creates proudly on sacred Ngunnawal land and is deeply inspired by our bush capital’s rich indigenous history of storytelling. It is the salt of the earth on which we live and work. We commit to the creation and support of theatrical spaces for our indiginous community to share their stories. Our first show The Boys will be presented on Ngambri/Ngunnawal land and we will continue to create opportunities in this space.

Our Sulphur Commitment: In Alchemy, Sulphur is the property of the soul. The soul of Alchemy Artistic is the innate desire to build a better community through the offering of highly polished theatrical works and well facilitated communal discussions. Through cleverly approached facilitation, empathy and curiosity we commit to ensuring that this is a standard value for our shows. The offerings may differ, but the soul will remain. This is our commitment to facilitating safe discussion spaces to evoke change and compassion.

☿ Our Mercury Commitment: Our work will be made cohesively and collaboratively with a multitude of artists across different mediums and spaces. At Alchemy Artistic, we value community over competition. By collaborating with multidisciplinary artists and creatives, we expand our reach as well as theirs. Collaboration is the spirit of our business. Our ability to fuse and create connections with others gives us our edge over competitors and helps us tell (and sell) your stories.
